A grinding three vehicle accident sent at least one male to the hospital today, February  23 2017.  Emergency workers  responded and helped the injured after their vehicles were sent flying  onto the center median at Welsh Road.  A female said that she was traveling east on welsh and she was crossing the road when a vehicle traveling north collided with her vehicle.  That vehicle then made contact with a PGW truck .The driver of the gas  truck was not hurt.

The traffic lights were on flash but there was nothing to prevent  vehicles from traveling across the intersection. When cops got there, the erected barricades and cordoned the road to prevent further accidents.  The south bound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard were closed at Goodnaw for about an hour, until the wreckage could be cleared. Emergency workers  should  be commended for their quick response. However, the exception is one firefighter from Ladder 34, who decided to try to censor the media from doing their jobs, just seconds before they were ready to take up. He was rebuked by his captain.
