Multiple crashes slow I-95 travel

Motorists driving south on the Delaware Expressway were delayed due to two separate serious accident in the lower end of Bucks County last night, October 14, 2017. Emergency responders said that the first crash happened between Street Road and Woodhaven Road in the south bound lanes. as fire and rescue crews worked that wreck, there was another accident that happened in the traffic back up, this one was just north of Street Road. It involved multiple vehicles, and at least three people were transported to local hospitals.
At one point, a medical helicopter was summoned to the scene but was recalled, as EMS workers elected to take the patient to a trauma center via ground. Traffic southbound was congested from about Route 1 Business. The carnage started shortly before 8:00 PM and the road was not re opened until after 10:00 PM. With two wrecks that close to each other, tow trucks were taxed to the maximum as was the fire service and State Police.
