Pets safe after Bensalem apartment fire

At least two cats and one dog are fine after they were safely brought out of an apartment building that caught fire in Bensalem Twp, Bucks County Pa. yesterday September 20, 2018 . Fire crews were called to the Salem harbor Apartments,just north of the city limits. When crews got there, they had fire showing from two floors of an apartment building. Companies quickly went into service and knocked down the fire. The blaze was reported about 5:30PM and was declared under control a short time later. One firefighter received minor injuries.

A cause for the fire has not been determined.  Companies remained at the scene for several hours, putting out hot spots and looking for a cause.  The animals were in other rooms and did not require any on scene medical attention. They were put into cages and brought outside by police , where the animals could get fresh air.
