A man was killed today, November 13, 2018, when a dump truck struck him and ran him over.  The accident happened just after 9:00 AM in the parking lot of the Penn Jersey Truck and Diesel Repair Center. This business is located just south of Street Road in Bensalem.  The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.  He was not injured.

The truck parked away from the accident scene. It is believed the driver did not know what happened until he was told. Severe flooding hampered rescue response, as units had to arrive from south on State Road, due to extreme flooding that made the road impassable.  The 911 call center received multiple calls on this incident and the workers at the scene refused to do CPR on the victim.  It is unknown if the man was a worker or a customer.  It is also unknown if the driver of the truck was an employee.  Police said no charges would be filed until after the investigation was completed, if charges were warranted.
