Communities throughout Lower Bucks county will celebrate in the Memorial Day holiday this weekend in a number of ways. Below is a guide to the events for the area on Sunday and Monday,

Bristol Borough
The Robert W. Bracken American Legion Post 382 will hold a service Monday at 9 a.m. at the Bristol Borough Veterans Memorial at the corner of Farragut Avenue and Pond St. beginning At 9:30 a.m. A service will be held at St. Mark’s Cemetery on Radcliffe Street; at 10 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church Cemetery at Walnut and Wood streets and at 10:30 a.m. at the Bristol Cemetery on Route 13.
Bristol Township
The Joseph A. Schumacher Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1597 annual parade will take place Monday in the Croydon section of the township. Children of all ages are encouraged to decorate their bicycles and meet at the old Croydon fire house at 11 a.m. Monday The parade begins at 11:30 a.m. at Cedar Ave and State Rd. Music entertainment, classic cars, first responder units and floats will participate in the parade that proceeds on State Road to Bellevue Avenue. The parade then will head toward the VFW Post at 901 Bellevue Ave., where a service will take place followed by comments from local dignitaries.
Falls Township
American Legion Post 834 in the township’s Fallsington section will host its annual parade along New Falls Road beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday kicking off att Pennsbury High School and will include the PHS marching band, first responder units, antique cars, scouts and honor guards from other participating veterans organizations.
Paraders will march northward toward Memorial Park in the 300 block of Yardley Avenue where a memorial service will take place. Afterward, hot dogs and cold drinks will be served to attendees and Post 834 will host a dinner for parade participants.
Langhorne
Middletown
Levittown Memorial American Legion Post 960, 1537 Woodburne Road, will host a service at 9 a.m. Monday.
Morrisville
The 10th Annual revitalized parade will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at West Trenton and Pennsylvania avenues and follow a route down Pennsylvania Avenue to the Morrisville Cemetery at Anderson Avenue. The parade will feature re-enactors, historical sections, first responder units, music bands and dancers.
Newtown Borough/Newtown Township
On Monday, Post 440 will host a parade in cooperation with both Newtown Borough and Newtown Township. The parade begins at 9 a.m. at the Newtown Commons West Building off Newtown-Yardley Road. Norm Moorhead will be the parade’s grand marshal and Dan Fraley will be the guest speaker. The parade will go to the Newtown Library, where a memorial service will take place at the World War I monument. The parade then will go on to Newtown Borough Hall where there will be a memorial service. The parade will continue to the Amercan Legion where Veterans will hold services.
