Red Paw is an organization that responds to disasters to help pets and animals.  The Red Cross will not provide for assistance to animals. That is where Red Paw comes in.  Doing this takes money and  fundraiser was held at Polanka Park on Knights Road, in Bensalem Bucks County.  This is right across the street from the township complex.

Admission was free. Once inside, there were things for animals and people to do. Free samples of dog and cat treats,  as well as promotional items were given out.  When people think of pets, dogs and cats come to mind. However, as this event, there were some exotics such as a tarantula, a snake and a tortoise that were all on display and available for free selfies. Those were free.

There were some dogs and cats in special areas where people could go in and play with them for a few dollars.  There were also animals to adopt. . At times, when people get a four legged family member, that new pet might need some training. Lead The Way  training was there to give information and also show off the agility of some of their “students”.

The Bensalem Police K-9 team also put on a demonstration.  This event happens every year and is a good fundraiser for a good cause.  Red Paw was founded by Jen Leary, a former Philadelphia Firefighter. They respond to disasters in this region.
