23rd Annual Celtic Day in Bristol Sunday

Irish eyes will be smiling Sunday in Bristol Borough as  the 23rd annual Celtic Day will be held in Bristol Riverfront Park,  on Sunday, June 30 (no rain date) from 1 to 8 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Celtic Heritage Foundation. Admission is free. Attendees are advised to bring lawn chairs or blankets.

Various musical and dance groups will entertain throughout the event. A variety of food and merchandise vendors will be situated throughout the park, and the Celtic Heritage Foundation will have a “Celtic Bakery” under the Wharf.

Opening ceremonies begin at the  Gazebo from 1 to 1:30 p.m.; Irish music by The Jolly Tinkers, sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.; Irish step dancing by The Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dancing from 5 to 5:30 p.m.; and Celtic/Irish music by The John Byrne Band from 6 to 8 p.m.
