Suspect Rams Two Bensalem Police Vehicles, Speeds Away

Bensalem Police know who they are looking for in connection to an incident that happened on Route 13 at Park Avenue in the Township Wednesday morning . VanDaniel Gossett is accused of ramming two fully marked police SUV’s just after 11:30 AM. according to Director Of Public Safety Fred Harran,

“We received a report of a suspicious vehicle” he said

No sooner did the officers make contact with the driver,  he backed into the vehicles multiple times, ramming them multiple times, in an attempt to abscond. “Both vehicles received disabling damage,” said Harran. He pushed one of the vehicles to the street, the public safety director said

The suspect vehicle, a grey Cadillac sedan with damage to the front and rear, officials said

He was last observed south on Route 13 and heading onto South Interstate 95.  State police also helped to locate the vehicle but even with a helicopter search for the suspect and vehicle, Gossett got away.

“This was captured on out officers body cameras, Harran said. no officers were hurt. Gossett may attempt to seek medical treatment for his injuries.
