Bucks County Health Department to offer Free Flu Shots in September

Summer is coming to a close and that means flu season is on the horizon. 

In advance of the flu season The Bucks County Department of Health is holding three free flu shot clinics, one of which is scheduled to be in Levittown. 
The clinics are an opportunity for county residents ages three and older to get a free flu shot.
According to Pennsylvania Department of Health data, for the 2018-2019 flu season a total 98 thousand cases of influenza were reported in the commonwealth, with approximately 2900 of those cases originating in Bucks County.
State Health Department data says this past influenza season, from October of 2018 to May 2019, 157 people died as a result of influenza associated deaths in Pennsylvania, and approximately 70 percent of those deaths occurring for residents  65 or older.
If you plan to attend one of the three free flu shot clinics please the county department of health asks that you fill out a vaccine information sheet
