Black Lives Matter Protests Shuts Traffic On Vine Street Expressway

Amid chants of “F&ck the Police” thousands of rioters have taken over the Vine Street Expressway just before 5:00 PM June 1 2020. They are in the vincinty of 22nd Street . This comes after a peaceful protest and march by this group that was in front of the Police Administration building. The group then marched towards the Art Museum, and then back to the parkway. The crowd that is not on the highway is pelting police with rocks and bottles from the overpasses. police responder by shooting OC gas at the protesters . Several arrests were made.
It was there that they got the idea to risk lives by jumping in front of cars going 70 MPH or more. Never mind that people have life threatening emergencies and need to travel, They cannot if people are blocking the street. Stopping traffic is the worst way to protest. The reason is it infuriates people who may be sympathetic to your cause.
During the Race Street rally, many speakers talked about who they dislike the way police have treated them or family members. A different group of marchers stood behind barricades and shouted at police in front of city hall.
