Truck Takes Out Hydrant on Gibson Road, Road Flooded

A delivery truck hit a fire hydrant on Gibson Road  in Bensalem, near Bensalem Boulevard, residents said. The result was water gushing into the road, with possible undermining of the street.

The mishap took place today, Aug  29, 2020,j ust after 2:00 PM. There were no injuries.  AQUA, Penndot and  township crews were on scene, closing the road and trying to get the water turned off.  It is unknown at this time if this will impact water service to residents.  Gibson Road is closed at Bensalem Boulevard. Access to  the mobile home communities can be had off of Hulmeville Road..
