Officials are investigating an accident involving a pedestrian that was struck by a SEPTA commuter train.  This happened just after 7:00 AM  February 18, 2022.  As of 7:30 PM the train has been stopped in Bensalem  in the vicinity of Haunted Lane.

Officials are walking the tracks to determine exactly where the strike was. The original report was that the person was struck in Bristol. Trains take a long time to stop, so it is quite possible the actual impact was quite a distance from where the train came to rest.  SEPTA and Amtrak have curtailed service in the area.

It is unknown why the person was on the tracks, or where they entered from.
