The good news is no one got hurt. The bad news is at least two units at the Lafayette Gardens Apartment complex on Bristol Pike were damaged in a quick moving fire that happened Saturday , about 6:30 PM. The complex, located near the Philadelphia border, was the scene of at least a dozen emergency vehicles, as they all converged to render assistance to the homeowner.
Fire apparatus from Bristol Township as well as Bensalem showed up. At least one water line was charged. The fire, located on the second floor unit of a two story apartment building was knocked down using the services of a few fire crews. The rest were sent back. The fire was contained to the roof area, and when fire companies arrived, they had a smoke condition to deal with. They had to find the fire, and that meant tearing out walls and ceilings to get to the seat of the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
