SEPTA strike is over . Service not yet available

By Alex Lloyd Gross

Just because the union and management reached an agreement to end the week long  SEPTA strike does not mean the system is back running in an hour or two.  It will take 24 hours.  That means for the evening rush hour, you should still use your alternate plan to get home from work or school.  Do not go looking for buses to run on any schedule, at least until after 6:00 AM tomorrow, November 8, 2016.

Expect the Market Frankford and Broad Street trains to come back to normal first.  At the start of service, trains will be sporadic but as more drivers come back to work and trains are made available,  they will run with more regularity. as Election Day gets underway , all buses will be back to full swing, SEPTA official said. It is the hope of many that the trains are  running with some regularity by this afternoon, as people attend the rally on Independence Mall with Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi..Traffic will be a mess in the area. With parking at a premium,  people were counting on SEPTA to get them there.
