At least five people sustained injuries from a grinding two vehicle crash at Rising Sun and Knorr Streets , yesterday, November 13 2016. Three medic units were called to the scene. Police said that none of the injuries were life threatening.  Phoung  Thach, was driving one   car north on  Rising Sun when a car operated by Steve Pelis, of Cheltenham Pa,  crossed in front of his vehicle and they collided.

A small child in Thach’s car sustained injury. Several people in the other car, operated by Pellis were injured.  When the fire department arrived, they were found laying on the ground.  It is unknown if they were ejected or not.  According to Darren Tang,  the owner of Tan’s Pharmacy which sits on the corner, “There are accidents here every week”. In fact, tang said “One time a car came up and crashed into the front of my building. It could have killed one of my customers, if they were coming out of the door”  Tang would like to see the intersection controlled with a traffic light as opposed to a stop sign.

One of the vehicles involved in this accident damaged Tan’s fence, surrounding his property.
