Fatal head on crash closes Woodhaven Road

A head on accident closed Woodhaven Road from Interstate 95 last night, October 30 2017 about 7:00PM . What was left of the evening rush hour was forced to exit at Street Road. At least two people were removed by ambulance from the scene. According to Pennsylvania State Police, a woman got on Woodhaven Road going the wrong way and as she got past Rt. 13, she continued until she came in contact with 28 year old Daniel Torres of Philadelphia. The force of the wreck caused the striking vehicle to rest partially on top of the concrete barrier that separates east and west traffic.
The identity of the driver that was killed has not yet been identified. Authorities are trying to locate her next of kin. Traffic at the Street Road interchange was extra heavy due to the crash. Traffic trying to enter north on I-95 from Woodhaven Road was prevented from doing so for several hours until the scene could be investigated and cleaned up. Cops are trying to find where the female driver came from.
