As emergency responders were at the scene of a crash where a vehicle sheared a pole in half, they noticed a skunk crossing the street. They held up traffic and let the animal cross.  Within a few minutes,  utility  crews arrived, coned off the area and began their work setting in a new pole.  Without anyone to help the skunk cross the street, the creature again ventured out on Ford Road and a woman driving a vehicle swerved to avoid hitting it. She was successful in that regard. The skunk was fine.

Her vehicle, that was another story. She crashed into a fence and a tree. It was totaled. She sustained minor injuries in the early morning crash on February 23 2018. Ford Road in Bristol Township remained closed for several hours .
