A family from Bensalem sustained injuries  after a mini van they were in veered off of Bensalem Boulevard and struck a pole near Yates drive.  The pole was cracked in two and will have to be replaced.  It was partially leaning on the minivan that struck it. The crash happened just before 10:00 PM July 22, 2018 . About 1400 people have no power.

Two medic units were called to the scene as a precaution, for the occupants of the people.  PECO was not yet on scene as of 10:40 PM.  There is a slight chance they could put the power back  on for an intermittent time, while they wait for a pole to arrive.  The process to replace a pole could take as much as 12 hours.  The utility has been   extra busy this weekend, with storm related calls in the region.  While Bucks and Philadelphia sustained a good amount of wires related calls,  Chester County got hit with flash flooding tonight.
