Rehl, Norma Charlotte age 91 of Newton, NJ passed away peacefully Monday September 17, 2018 in Frankford Township, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she has resided in Newton, NJ for many years.
Daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Sophie (nee Misiewicz) von Pentz, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, collector and author. Mrs. Rehl wrote the first book on Stangl Pottery and was also a pottery collector. She had also written a book on Abington Pottery as well as co-authored a book about Depression glass knives with her late husband Myron Richard “Dick” Rehl Jr. who passed away in 2010.
Norma loved her plants and took great pride in her Christmas cactus. She was an avid crossword puzzle solver and enjoyed listening to music; especially the hymn Amazing Grace.
Survivors include her son Ronald and his wife Denise Rehl of Milford, NJ, her daughters Susan and her husband Owen McDaniel of Union Dale, PA and Norma-Jean and her husband William Proscia of Marlborough, CT. Also surviving are her grandchildren Jennifer and her husband Jay Fattorusso of Wantage Twp., Charles and his wife Tam Culver of Dingmans Ferry, PA, Richard Culver of Abilene, TX, Michael and his wife Susie Proscia of Somerville, MA and Christine Proscia of Boston, MA as well as her great grandchildren Austin and Lauren Fattorusso and Claire and Nora Culver.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday September 25, 2018 at 2:30 PM in the Washington Crossing Veterans Cemetery #830 Highland Rd. Newtown, PA 18940. Arrangements and online condolences through www.iliff-ruggierofuneralhome.com
