Cat missing after house fire in Hulmeville Borough

A homeowner in Hulmeville Borough is distraught after their house caught fire on Main Street in the center of town Tuesday night, April 9, 2019.  The house sits very close to the firehouse. Even still, the fire consumed the house before firefighters could  arrive and get set up.  The cause is being investigated by the Middletown Fire Marshals Office.  One firefighter was transported with injuries, fire officials said.

Fire companies from Penndel, Hulmeville and Bensalem responded.  As the fire was declared under control , the homeowner searched for their pet cat. It is unknown if the cat got out of the house or is still inside.  There have been reports of family pets that survived horrific conditions and were found hiding either inside thier home or nearby.
