Croydon Woman Was DUI When She Hit A Child Running For A School Bus

Bensalem Police announced that charges of  Aggravated Assault While DUI, reckless endangerment and overtaking a school bus have been lodged against  Kathleen Wesley of Croydon.  Police said she was drunk when she struck Olivia Adelman  who was running for a school bus on Bensalem Boulevard during the early morning hours of January 6 2020.

A blood test was done on Wesley and it was determined that she was intoxicated. The school bus was stopped and all of the warning devices and lights were properly flashing on the bus. Police said that Wesley disregarded them at 7:38 AM and drove past the bus , hitting the child.  Adelman is is serious condition and remains in the hospital as doctors have not yet released her. She has had multiple operations .

Wesley was arraigned and held on $100, 000 bail or 10 percent. She was remanded to the Bucks County Prison. You can read the original story here
