Cottman Avenue Crash Sends Two To Local Hospitals

A three vehicle accident on the 2100 block of Cottman Avenue injured at least two people today, March 29,2021.  The injuries were not life threatening, police said.  The crash happened in front of the Roosevelt Mall when an SUV slammed into the rear of a car operated by a New Jersey male He was goi9ng westbound. The impact caused the male to hit the gas and he went about 200 feet down Cottman Avenue where he slammed head on into a car traveling east. Both vehicles came to an uncontrolled rest on a curb.

The accident happened about 11:40 AM and traffic was tied up for about an hour as the wreckage was cleared. The driver of the SUV was disorientated  and walking around the scene, not sure of what transpired. She declined to go to the hospital. She was unsure as to where she was. Traffic was slowed in the east bound lanes as motorists were forced to maneuver around the wreckage.
