by Alex Lloyd Gross

When you are 16 and get your first job, you are excited. You finally make your own money, someone trusts you to work in their business and make is successful.  Maybe, just maybe you can meet someone special and go out with them.  An 18 year old male working at a McDonalds on Veterans Highway  did not get the memo on how to conduct himself at the workplace.

Joseph O’Brien was working in the restaurant when he met a 16 year old female who was also working there. from about July of 2020, O’Brien would allegedly touch her private areas through her clothes and try to kiss her.  Each time he did this, she told him to stop. Most recently, she was working her shift when she went to a stock room and O’Brien followed her. He again tried to grab her in inappropriate places. The girl confides to another worker about what happened. Little did she know, but Obrien was allegedly doing the same thing to her as well.

At least on one occasion, O’Brien cornered this girl, who was 17 and tried to kiss her. He then put his hands on her through her clothing  even though she told him to stop.  He continued his unwanted advances, police said.

After a complete investigation, Joseph O’Brien was taken into custody and charged with corruption of minors, indecent assault and unlawful contact with minors. He is next due in court on October 27,2021.
