Bensalem Township firefighters rescued a male that was trapped in a dwelling that was on fire.late last night.  It was about 11:50 PM when firefighters arrived at a corner house on Kings Lane and Clinton Street.  Heavy smoke was showing from the roof of the house and there was an elderly person in a wheelchair that could not get out.

Within a few minutes, firefighters were able to rescue the resident and they were transported  to a local hospital, in unknown condition.  Within a few minutes of this happening, fire was found to be in the basement of the house. The fire flashed over  and luckily, no injuries were reported to any firefighters, according to firefighters at the scene.

Kings Lane is a dead end street,  so apparatus placement was at a premium.   The cause of the fire is still being investigated.  Kevin Dippolito, the Fire Marshal from Bristol Township was called in to help with the investigation.
