Sammar Khan was at the Bristol Wharf yesterday with her husband. It was late in the morning and there were lots of people there. Within minutes, the two were near the coastline  and started to argue very loudly. They were speaking  a  different language and people could not understand what they were arguing about. Soon, police said,  Khan pulled a gun and fired one shot.  Her husband, Faisal Iqbal, had been sitting down but quickly stood up and started to try to wrestle the gun from her.

The two then began to walk from the coastline toward the parking lot area, where Iqbal told at least one witness to call 911. Khan then shot Iqbal two times, and he collapsed in the grassy area between the water and the parking lot, witnesses observed. As Iqbal lay on the ground defenseless, Khan walked over to him and shot him twice in the torso and once in the head, witnesses told detectives.

As police arrived they spotted Khan with blood on her clothing and quickly took her in for investigation.  She was questioned about the incident and witnesses told police what happened. Late in the afternoon, she was charged with criminal homicide, , weapons offenses and reckless endangering. She is being held without bail.
