Police Search For Center City Arson Suspect

Philadelphia Police released video of an arson suspect who they say allegedly set fire to a cardboard box, after he placed that box next to a house. He then lit it on fire. Security cameras captured video of the male taking boxes just before the fire started on June 16, 2023. This happened on the 2200 block of Rittenhouse Square.
The homeowner was able to stamp out the fire before it caused extensive damage. No injuries were reported.
The male was wearing a face mask but it slid down a bit and the camera angle shows his face fairly well.
Suspect Description: Black male, medium build, wearing a light blue t-shirt, light color pants, black mask and black and white sneakers.
