State Rep Kevin Boyle Gets Himself Banned From Rockledge Bar



Pa. State Rep Kevin Boyle just got himself banned from Gaul and Co Malt House in Rockledge Pa. That after he started berating bar staff and calling patrons :morons, actors and idiots”, He threatened to use his position as a PA House Rep to close the bar. “I can f—ing close this bar, Do you know who9 I am”, he yelled at people. The outburst was recorded and posted on social media.

Boyle has said he is going to seek help. This is not his first run in with the law. In 2021 he had domestic problems with his wife and was issued a restraining order, that he violated. He was arrested for that with the charges eventually getting dropped. He was stripped of his committee positions and had his access to the state capitol restricted. That restriction has since been lifted.

During this incident, Rockledge Police were called and Boyle was outside the bar when officers arrived at 12:18 AM Thursday morning. . He was not arrested or cited. Democratic House Leadership issued a statement that says.

“We are aware of a video circulating on social media. It is very troubling. Rep. Boyle has been open about his personal challenges,” wrote a spokesperson for the Democratic Caucus. “We are encouraged that our colleague and dear friend is seeking help.”

“Our commitment to delivering mental health services does not stop at the Capitol Steps. One of the main reasons we advocate so strongly for mental health access is the reality that challenges can and do happen to anyone, and seeking treatment should be encouraged, not stigmatized,” the statement continued.

Boyle was re-elected to serve his district which is in in portions of Philadelphia and Montgomery County, where the Gaul House is located.
