by Alex Lloyd Gross

It is illegal to hold yourself out as a doctor or a nurse if you have not passed your medical boards. Police said that fact did not stop Ramone Garcia, from drastically overstepping his employment parameters at Carbon Health. He was to sign people in and maybe, assist in blood draws if a doctor first allowed it.

Police alleged that on March 1,2024 a female went to the Abington Police to advise them that she went for a pre employment drug screening. Ramone Garcia assisted the woman and went into the room with her. He said that she was randomly selected to be watched. and he observed her lift her dress and urinate into a cup.. This should never have happened.Garcia then is alleged to have given her his phone number on the back of a business card.

Police were investigating this and then a second woman came to them about Garcia. She informed police that she too went to Carbon Health and met Ramone Garcia at the front desk . He told her that he was a nurse and needed to give her a pelvic exam.. He told her to underess and put on latex gloves and penetrated her with his fingers.. When the victim got dressed, he instructed her to take off her clothes a second time moved his face closer to her private area. When she said no, he backed off and then is alleged to have also provided his phone number to her, after allegedly asking her about her sexual fantasies and relationship status..

This victim went straight to Abington Police and filed a complaint..He was arrested March 11,2024, police said.

Garcia was not trained, instructed, nor permitted to conduct examinations or observe urine sample tests such as those that were reported by these victims. Garcia is not a licensed nurse.

Ramon Garcia was charged with Aggravated Indecent Assault (2nd degree felony), Indecent Assault, and (2) counts of Invasion of Privacy. He is being held at the Abington Police Department pending his arraignment.

The Abington Police Department is actively investigating the possibility that there may be additional victims who have yet to come forward. Garcia has worked at the Abington Township location since July of 2023, and it is believed that he may have previously worked at other Carbon Health Urgent Care facilities, possibly in Montgomery Township and Dresher, PA.

If anyone has any additional information regarding this investigation or believes that they may have also been a victim of Ramon Garcia, they are asked to call Detective Jeff Anderson, of the Abington Police Special Victim’s Unit, at (267)536-1102 or ja*******@ab********.gov
