Middletown Police Arrest Male For Attempted Rape and Kidnapping

Police have arrested a man that they say has a problem with meth. He is accused of trying to abduct and rape a woman who just arrived at the Redners on Lincoln Highway in Middletown Twp, Bucks County PA. . Police said Daniel R. Pierson, of Yardley, immediately grabbed her and tried to force her into a rusted pick up truck. Police said the woman kept screaming and punching Pierson. Pierson kept telling her to “shut up” as he punched her in the face and head, police said. This happened April 16, 2024, officials said..

The woman fought and Pierson let go of the woman and he drove off in the pick up truck. Police used license plate readers to identify the truck.

The invest5igation determined that Pierson was the male driving the pick up truck. On Wednesday at 2:43 p.m., the truck was located at a residence in the 1500 block of Newport Road in Bristol Township. Pierson was taken into custody after leaving the home, driving a different vehicle. He was wearing a black t-shirt and dark colored jeans.

He was remanded to the Bucks County Prison under $1,000,000 bail by Magisterial District Judge Frank W. Peranteau Sr. on Wednesday night.

He is facing charges of criminal attempt to commit kidnapping to facilitate a felony, criminal attempt to commit kidnapping to inflict injury or terror, criminal attempt to commit rape by forcible compulsion, criminal attempt to commit rape by threat of forcible compulsion, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment and three counts of simple assault.
