Two people were sent to local hospitals, after a collision on Second Avenue this afternoon. The injuries are said to be serious but not life threatening. According to authorities and witnesses, a vehicle was backing from a driveway onto Second Avenue.
While this was happening, a driver was on second Street going from Miller Street towards Delaware Street, when the two collided. One driver sustained a serious head injury. The scene was cleared quickly and traffic was moving along Second Avenue within an hour.
