Emergency workers were called to the Giant parking lot on Street Road just after 3:00 p.m. when a customer found a deceased male inside a vehicle that was parked at an electric charging station. According to detectives, the male had been there for some time, and the death was determined to be natural, not suspicious.
The fire department was called to assist the coroner, which caused several people to pause and watch what was happening. Police closed the immediate area to vehicles so detectives could work. After the body was removed, police had to move the car out of the parking spot.
The coroner is still trying to locate next of kin to identify the male and release him to family members.
