Bensalem Police were called to investigate a serious accident overnight at the exit ramp of Northbound I-95 to Street Road. One person was killed in the fiery crash.

Upon arrival, officers located a silver 2013 Chevrolet Sonic fully engulfed in flames. The driver had been ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two additional occupants of the Chevrolet were removed from the burning vehicle and transported by Bensalem EMS to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where they are listed in critical condition.

The drivers of a 2017 Dodge Journey and a 2015 Honda Accord, which were also involved in the
crash, were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Members of the
Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the vehicle fire, Bensalem Police spokesman Det Sgt Glenn Vandegrift said in a statement.

Vandegrift said the Chevrolet Sonic was traveling eastbound on Street Road at a high rate of speed as it approached the I-95 interchange. The vehicle failed to stop for a redtraffic signal at the northbound I-95 ramp intersection and struck a Dodge Journey that was exiting I-95 northbound and making a left turn onto westbound Street Road on a green signal. Asa result of the impact, the Chevrolet went airborne, crossed the center median, and struck a vehicle that was waiting at the traffic light.

The deceased driver of the Chevrolet has been identified as Timur Khabelov, 44, of Brooklyn,
New York. The passengers in the Chevrolet were identified as Farruh Homidov, 43, and Askar
Narziev, 39; both remain in critical condition.

Police said they reviewed camera footage of the crash and that their investigation is not complete. One that is done, any charges (if any ) will be filed.
