BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks County voters now have seven locations where they can apply for and receive a mail-in or absentee ballot in person ahead of the Nov. 3 General Election.
The Bucks County Board of Elections opened its “On-Demand” voting locations Monday, Oct. 5. The service allows a registered voter to visit an election office, complete a mail-ballot application and, if approved, receive the ballot during the same visit. Voters may complete and return the ballot while there or take it with them to complete later.
The seven locations are the County Administration Building in Doylestown; Lower Bucks Government Services Center in Levittown; Upper Bucks Government Services Center in Quakertown; Bucks County Community College campuses in Newtown, Bristol and Perkasie; and the Warminster Township Free Library.
County election officials emphasize that Pennsylvania’s “On-Demand” process is technically in-person mail-ballot voting, not traditional early voting used in some other states. Each qualifying voter applies for a mail ballot, which is then individually prepared and issued by election staff.
The deadline to register for the Nov. 3 election is Monday, Oct. 19. Regular On-Demand voting ends at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, which is also the deadline to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot.
Completed mail ballots must be received by the Board of Elections no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3.
Voters are encouraged to check current hours before traveling because schedules vary by location.
