Philadelphia roads closed for marathon November 17 and 18

Runners gather at Pennsylvania Convention Center to get bibs and supplies for the race. The fitness expo is free and open to the public at the convention center. Once inside, people can see what other races are available in different towns. You can also get promotional items. One such race, Philly Love Marathon failed miserably in their marketing. People take time, spin a wheel. If they get a prize they get a t shirt or mug. However, a “sorry” leaves people with a bad taste in their mouth. They get nothing but wasted time.  WHEN YOU GIVE AWAY FREE PROMOTIONAL ITEMS WHERE PEOPLE WILL SEE YOUR LOGO, YOU NEVER EVER TELL THEM  SORRY, BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME.  Everyone else there got it right but these guys.

If you are anywhere near Philly, check out  the following info below. It tells you what roads are closed and when.
PHILADELPHIA– The City of Philadelphia would like to remind residents that streets will be closed in many parts of the city relating to the 25th annual AACR Philadelphia Marathon on the weekend of November 16 – 18. Delays can be expected. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes, avoid areas along the race course, allow for extra driving time and proceed with caution during Race Weekend.

Due to increased security in the Parkway area, parking and traffic regulations will be strictly enforced. Street closures are implemented on a rolling basis and will occur as runners go by. City officials urge motorists to refrain from double-parking, which creates congestion, limits traffic flow and is illegal.
