Bristol Twp First Responder Family Loses One of its Own

A Bristol Township Fire Company reported on its social media page the loss of a local first responder recently.

The Newportville Fire Company #1 Station 12/82 posted on Facebook long time Fire Police Captain, Fire Police Lieutenant, and Treasurer Bruce Williams had passed away.

“Bruce was long time member and a true asset to the department. Bruce loved serving his community, along with his Fire Police duties at Newportville Fire Company # 1 and Bristol Township Fire Police,” officials said on the fire companies social media page.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church,  250 Green Ln., Bristol, PA 19007.
A funeral ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Bristol Cemetery.
Contributions may made to either the Newportville Fire Company or the Calvary Baptist Church, in Williams’ name,.

We would like to express our sincere condolences to the Williams family in this trying time, the fire company said.

Williams of Levittown was 77.
