Two area movie nights have been cancelled due to the recent heat wave advisories.
On Thursday morning, officials from Bristol Borough announced Friday’s out door movie event was cancelled due to the excessive heat conditions. Council members were notified via E-mail from Borough Manager James Dillon, multiple sources said of the cancellation and new date.
A short time later, Bristol Township Director of Parks & Recreation Jessica Fox, said she was recommending to officials cancelation of the movie night scheduled for Saturday at Croydon Acres Park.
Shortly after 1 p.m. on the parks and recreation social media page the cancelation was made official for Saturday’s (July 20) outdoor event citing “excessive heat,” concerns also.
Bristol Borough’s movie night has been rescheduled to Friday August 9, to begin at dusk.
Bristol Township officials said they expect to reschedule a new date once confirmation of vendor availability is made
A third area movie night sponsored by the Newportville Fire Co No 1 Station 12/82 as of press time is still scheduled to take place Friday.
