The Following is a press release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
Westbound Interstate 295 and southbound Interstate 95 motorists in Bucks County will encounter a double lane closure between the Route 413 (Bristol) and Academy Road interchanges on Monday, August 26, through Thursday, August 29, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for concrete spall repair under a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the interstates in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced this week.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-295 and I-95 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 and I-295 corridor in Bucks County.
James J. Anderson Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the $29,522,204 project, which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.
