Justice Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed to the United States Supreme Court today, October 26, 2020.The vote came just rammed through the before 8:00 PM. It was largely along party lines. New Jersey Senator Corey Booker voted against her, while PA Senators Pat Toomey voted in the affirmative and Robert Casey voted against.
President Trump could swear her in as soon as tonight. Democrats believe that Senate Leader Mitch McConnell rammed the vote through and republicans believe the vote was just and fair.
Republicans fear that should Joe Biden get elected, Puerto Rico will be voted in as a state which would put more democratic leaders in the house and the size of the Supreme Court could increase from the present nine to 13.
