Calling their actions “monstrous”,Bucks County Common Pleas Judge Wallace Bateman sentenced Leonard F. Hewitt Sr., 51, and Krystyn Anne Smock, 40, to prison. Heweitt will serve 20 to 40 years in state prison and Smock will do 15 to 30 years. The pair entered guilty pleas previously to charges that they sexually abused multiple children, and made child porn for a number of years.
The investigation started when a 10year old girl to authorities in Lawrence County that she was sexually assaulted in a house in Bristol Township multiple times. As police were investigating those allegations, police found a second victim that claimed have been sexually assaulted when she was either 12 or 13 years old. A young boy was interviewed by police and he was shown about five videos on Hewitts cellphone. Those videos are of the first victim having sexual relations with Smock.
Police executed a search warrant for cell phones and video recorders and found multiple images and videos, that date back to 2014. Some of the victims depicted in the home made porn were as young as five years old. In total, about 40 videos were found on a laptop, cell phone or in their home.
“These defendants are depraved,” District Attorney Matt Weintraub said after sentencing. “What they did to these children is unspeakable. Our only consolation is that these predators will be separated from society for decades.”
The pair pleaded guilty to multiple felonies, including rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, photographing, videotaping, depicting on computer or filming sexual acts, and criminal conspiracy. Upon release, they both must register as sex offenders for life.
