Donald J. Trump the 45th United States President is the first President Of the United States to face federal charges. The charges that trump will face are under the Espionage Act and are related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents. He will surrender himself to authorities in Miami Florida at 3:00 PM. Once inside, he may be placed him handcuffs and he will have his mugshot taken. Per federal regulations, that mugshot is not going to be released to the general public.
The classified documents that Trump stores in his boxes included classified information regarding defense and weapons capabilities of both the United States and foreign countries, reads part of the indictment. He is alleged to have shown documents to people. The indictment said that Trump was audio recording showing people without security clearance top secret information. Trump is reported to have said “As president, I could have declassified it and now I can’t but this stuff is still a secret”,
He faces 37 different charges . An assistant of “body man” to Trump, Waltine Nauta has also been indicted.Nauta is accused of some of the same things. During the FBI raid at Mar A Lago, where the documents were kept, agents found multiple boxes of classified material. Agents also have text messages between Nauta and other staffers pertaining to boxes.
Trump in his defense has argued that he has the right to declassify any document. During his court appearance, he will enter a plea of not guilty. Chances are very good that he will be released with no bail.
He has scheduled an appearance at his Bedminster golf club to speak. Only select media are permitted. Trump wants friendly media and personalities such as Newsmax or OAN. On his credential application, Trump failed to include any spots on online journalists. He did include TV, and print and a spot for security. That makes zero sense as Trump still has Secret Service protection and his club has their own private security. There is zero need for any media outlet to have private security at this event.
This will be a closed event, with members of his golf club attending. Previous events held there featured a few hundred club members wearing Trump gear, hanging on every word that he said. Trump will only take questions from “friendly” reporters who will ask the kinds of questions he wants to be asked. Those reporters will have reserved seats in the front row.
Trump has expressed outrage at the Biden family and has accused Joe Biden of weaponizing the justice system to thwart his run for the presidency. Trump has vowed to take revenge on anyone that was involved in bringing this indictment. Some candidates running on the republican ticket have expressed a willingness to pardon Trump should they get elected.
