In 2020 it was normal to see people go into stores with their faces completely covered. Now, three years later it is not. That fact did not stop a 20 something year old black male from risking his freedom for a few dollars. He walked into the Rite Aid on the 2100 block of North Broad Street and approached the cash register, dressed in full face covering gear.
He showed a gun and threatened to shoot the cashier unless he was given money. The cashier then gave him $373.00. He fled on foot. This happened during the early afternoon, about 1:00 PM on September 17, 2023.He is wearing a Nike hoodie. Police released a video in the hopes that someone will know him and turn him in.
When arrested, he will face a mandatory five years in jail, even if the gun was a toy. There is a good chance that the feds will also charge him with gun crimes as well.
