Tow Truck Owner For Warrington Duty Tow Charged With Insurance Fraud


A tow truck company owner has been arrested and charged with insurance fraud and related offenses after his company towed a wreck in Warrington Twp. On February 28 ,2023 a single vehicle crash happened at Folly and Bristol Roads. A driver hit a curb, then a pole. The vehicle then rolled back into the road. There was only one vehicle involved and it did require a tow truck.

Glenn’s Towing was the on call tow company and they responded with one truck, The vehicle was lifted onto the flatbed and removed. When Travelers Insurance got the bill it was for two trucks and other charges. The car, a Camry was at Glenn’s yard at 366 Easton Road in Warrington.

The bill to get the car out was $1865.00. The claims adjuster and manager thought this was high and kicked the claim to their Special Investigations Unit. They did some investigation and contacted the Attorney General, who notified Bucks County Authorities in the Bucks County District Attorney’s office.

It was determined with interviews of responding police only one truck was called and the insurance company was billed for wait times and extra oil dry when none was required. In all $1380.00 allegedly was over billed to Travelers Insurance by Vlad Andrei Ungvari, 31, of Hatboro, He was arrested December 7, 2023 and charged with Insurance Fruad and Unlawful Use Of A Computer and related offenses.

Bail was set at $100,000. unsecured by District Justice Stacy Wertman. The status of Glenn’s towing being on duty tow rotation for Warrington or other townships is unknown.
