Car and Motorcycle Collide In Bensalem Yesterday

by Alex Lloyd Gross

Police fire and medics were called to the intersection of Route 13 and Maple, in Bensalem Township yesterday, about 6:00 PM. A car and motorcycle collided, causing injuries to the driver of the bike. The driver and passengers of the car were uninjured, police said.

While police could not give a definite cause of the crash, evidence such as road markings strongly suggest that the motorcycle was traveling south and the car crossed in front of it. There was little to no damage on the car, but the bike had to be towed.

The injuries are said to be serious but not life threatening. Maple Avenue was closed for about 30 minutes. Traffic on Bristol Pike was shuffled around the crash scene.
