Philadelphia fire and EMS crews are busy along the area of Kensington Avenue after at least 10 people have overdosed on what appears to be bad drugs. Medics are operating along the 3100 to 2600 block of Kensington Avenue, all between 10:30 AM and noon.
No drugs sold on street corners are good. You have no idea of what it is and it is being put into your body. Drug dealers do not care what happens, as long as they are paid. A first time drug user could experience overdose symptoms. This epidemic is happening to multiple people, which officials think could be a bad batch of drugs.
Most of the overdose episodes are treated with Narcan as opposed to being transported to a local hospital. At this time it is too early to get figures regarding the amount 0of people transported to the hospital hospitals.
