A grinding three vehicle crash on the 9800 block of Academy Road caused at least two drivers to go to local hospitals for serious but not life threatening injuries.
The crash that happened about 10:45 AM happened when a driver was exiting a doctors office through a driveway marked entrance only. When the driver tried to exit onto Academy Road, he car was hit by a vehicle traveling on Academy Rd.
The force of the crash caused the striking vehicle to rotate and come in contact with a parked vehicle. The vehicles blocked the Academy Road going towards Red Lion Road, At one point four SEPTA buses were stopped and left staging there until they could get a police escort around the scene, through the opposing lanes of traffic.
