Woman Attacked Inside Abington Laundromat

Abington police reported a serious assault that happened yesterday about 7:00 AM when the male in the above photo walked into a Roslyn laundromat. Inside, he saw a woman folding clothes.

He began to punch her repeatedly in the face and head, police said. The woman sustained serious injuries including fractures and lacerations. The attack was random and the victim told [police she has no idea of who this male is.

While the victim was rushed to a local hospital, the attacker ran away on foot, east on Woodland Ave.

In addition to the clothing the suspect is wearing, he was carrying a blue shopping bag of some kind. It is believed that the suspect is homeless and frequents the Roslyn and Abington areas. Officers are on high alert, but the Abington Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying or locating this suspect. If anyone recognizes the suspect or is familiar with his possible whereabouts, contact Detective Pettinato at (267)536-1098. If the suspect is seen, do not approach him and call 9-1-1
