State Road Accident Ties Up Traffic In Bensalem

Bensalem Police and emergency crews were called to a two vehicle crash on State Road, in the vicinity of the Gate House Apartments, which is near the border with Philadelphia.
Preliminary reports are that an infinity collided with a Honda which was traveling north on State Road. It appeared the other vehicle lost control and veered into the lane of the Honda. Both drivers sustained serious but not life threatening injuries, authorities said.
This crash happened about 2:10 PM. There was no entrapment and the patients did not have to be cut from any vehicles.
State Road was closed at Mill and traffic had to either make a U-turn which was advisable, or continue up Mill. Those drivers that opted for this decision found themselves in a backlog of traffic that stretched for over half a mile.
