Traffic was jammed on the southbound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard in the area of Lott Street, when a senior citizen drove his car into the rear of a beer truck that was stopped in traffic. The crash happened in the inner lane of the southbound side about noon time today.
The driver sustained non life threatening injuries. Traffic had to cross over into the outer lane as the fire department loaded the driver into the ambulance. This took about 15 minutes. The operator of the truck, a private contractor hauling a beer trailer was not hurt.
The passenger was was totaled and had to be towed away. The truck drove away with very minimal damage.
