Dave McCormick has won the race for the United states Senate. He declared victory late yesterday and will hold a press conference in Pittsburgh later today.
McCormick was relentless in his campaign, showing up to places that most politicians don’t go to. Like a farmers market in Bensalem, for example. On July 4,2024, he was with several other republicans at the Southampton July 4th Parade. He held an event at Canstatters in Northeast Philadelphia and recently, got the endorsement of the Philadelphia Firefighters Local 22.
He defeated democrat incumbent Bob Casey in a race that was won by a razor thin margin. Many democrats did not get out to vote. For whatever reason, their votes were not there for Casey. McCormick has different views on the economy than Casey. During the July 4 event, McCormick voiced his opposition to Tik-Tok, a social media app used by hundreds of millions of people across North America. Even President Elect Donald Trump has an account and said he will not ban it.

McCormick will take office in January of 2025.
