Bensalem Police said that the woman, Regina Jones, 75, from Bensalem Boulevard was crossing the street mid block, not at a crosswalk. She was struck by a 2017 Nissan maxima, driver by a 17 year old who stopped and remained at the scene.
Bensalem Police said the driver attempted to render aid until help could arrive.
Jones was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where she died shortly after her arrival there. Police said the 17 year old was driving normal, not speeding and no impairment was suspected.. The original story appears below.

A woman was struck by a car on the 4100 block of Bensalem Boulevard earlier tonight . The incident happened just before 10:00 PM.
It is unclear if the woman was crossing the street or walking in the street at the time of the incident. Police closed Bensalem Boulevard at Bridgewater Road and Clusters Turn for an investigation.
The woman sustained serious injuries, police said. According to police on scene, the road will remain closed for several hours.
